Terms of Use

The terms and conditions governing your access to and use of the NHSCC website, membership services, and related offerings.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to the National Health Supply Chain Council (“NHSCC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, membership portal, events platform, or any other services we provide (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.

Your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any amendments. We may modify these terms from time to time; material changes will be communicated via email or website notice. Continued use after such notice constitutes acceptance.

You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age or have obtained parental or legal guardian consent to use the Services.

2. About NHSCC

The National Health Supply Chain Council is a not-for-profit organization registered in India, dedicated to strengthening the healthcare supply chain ecosystem. We bring together professionals, organizations, and stakeholders to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, best practice adoption, and innovation.

NHSCC operates with a mission to advance supply chain excellence in healthcare through advocacy, education, networking, and resource development. We do not provide medical advice, clinical services, or commercial supply chain brokerage; our role is advisory, educational, and facilitative.

3. Membership Terms

Membership in NHSCC is subject to the following:

  • Accurate Registration: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as needed. False or misleading information may result in suspension or termination.
  • OTP Verification: We use One-Time Password verification to confirm your identity. You consent to receive OTPs via SMS or email and must not share them with third parties.
  • Profile Visibility: You may choose whether your profile appears in the public member directory. Preferences can be updated in your account settings.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized use.
  • Free Membership: NHSCC membership is currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce fees or tiers in the future with reasonable notice.
  • Modification & Suspension: NHSCC reserves the right to modify benefits, suspend, or terminate membership for violation of these Terms, our Code of Conduct, or for any reason deemed necessary.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes. Prohibited conduct includes:

  • Scraping & Automated Access: Using bots, scrapers, or automated means to extract data without prior written consent.
  • Hacking & Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to systems, networks, or accounts; circumventing security measures.
  • Spam & Harassment: Sending unsolicited communications, harassing, threatening, or engaging in abusive conduct.
  • Impersonation: Impersonating NHSCC, staff, another member, or any person or entity.
  • Commercial Exploitation: Using the Services or member directory for commercial solicitation without authorization.
  • Reverse Engineering: Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to derive the source code of our systems.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the NHSCC website (text, graphics, logos, images, etc.) is the property of NHSCC or its licensors, protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit any Content without prior written permission. The NHSCC name, logo, and trademarks may not be used without written consent.

6. User Content

When you submit testimonials, feedback, comments, photographs, or other content (“User Content”), you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content in connection with our mission. You retain ownership. You represent that your User Content is accurate and non-infringing. NHSCC reserves the right to remove any User Content at any time.

7. Events & Programs

NHSCC organizes events, workshops, webinars, and programs. Participation may require separate registration or fees. We reserve the right to modify, postpone, or cancel events with reasonable notice. By attending in-person events, you consent to being photographed or recorded for NHSCC promotional purposes. You participate at your own responsibility and may be required to sign a liability waiver.

8. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites provided for your convenience. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party site’s content, policies, or practices. Your use of external websites is at your own risk and governed by their respective terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. NHSCC does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, legal, financial, or procurement advice. Always consult qualified professionals for specific guidance.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, NHSCC, its officers, council members, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the membership fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim. For free members (which currently includes all members), maximum aggregate liability is limited to Indian Rupees One Thousand (₹1,000).

11. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India. Before initiating litigation, you agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation and, if unresolved, through mediation administered by a mutually agreed mediator. A written notice of dispute must be sent to legal@nhscc.in; NHSCC will have 30 days to respond. Any claim must be filed within one year of the event giving rise to the claim.
